A gentle, structured Reiki healing session designed to restore a sense of physical and emotional steadiness—without processing, pushing, or revisiting the past. This work supports regulation first, clarity later.
What Is The Grounding Reset?
The Grounding Reset is a non-therapeutic, regulation-focused session that supports the body’s natural capacity to settle and orient.
Rather than analyzing patterns or exploring stories, the session focuses on:
- Physical safety and containment
- Nervous system stabilization
- Gentle sensory and somatic support
- Restoring connection to the present moment
This session is especially supportive during periods of:
- Overwhelm or depletion
- Chronic stress or hyper-vigilance
- Transition, burnout, or emotional fatigue
Feeling “ungrounded,” scattered, or disconnected from the body
Who This Session Is For:
The Grounding Reset is well-suited for individuals who:
- Feel tired of “working on themselves”
- Notice tension, anxiety, or shutdown in the body
- Are sensitive, intuitive, or highly responsive to environments
- Want support without analysis, interpretation, or emotional excavation
- Are in between larger phases of healing, change, or decision-making
No prior experience with energy work, meditation, or somatic practices is required.
What Happens During a Grounding Reset Session
Each session includes Reiki healing and is guided slowly and intentionally. Depending on whether the session is offered in person or remotely, elements may include:
- Gentle somatic awareness (without instruction to relive or process)
- Nervous-system-friendly pacing and silence
- Use of subtle aromatic substances (Sandelwood, Cedarwood or Palo Santo) essential oil on a cotton ball nearby or aromatherapy mist
- Vibroacoustic sound through the OPUS Sound bed (in person)
- Grounding sound (low rhythmic music, soundtracks from nature)
- Grounding cues that support orientation and embodiment.
- Use of natural elements such as palm stones
- 5 pound weighted lap blanket
There is
no requirement to talk, explain, or make meaning.
The work meets the body where it already is.
There are 3 ways to receive a Grounding Reset Session:
- In-Person at the office location
- Remotely via Zoom
- In-Person at another location such as an assisted living, nursing facility or hospice house

What this session is not
Clarity creates safety. The Grounding Reset is not:
- Psychotherapy or trauma treatment
- Emotional processing or catharsis
- Coaching, advice-giving, or interpretation
- A substitute for medical or mental health care
Instead, it is a supportive regulation practice that complements other forms of care.
